Upper-level Harvard College students and graduate students must register to take the French, German, Italian, or Spanish online exams in the summer or January using the Online Placement Exams Registration (OPER) application. Once they have registered to take the exam, the exam may be accessed at https://onlineplacement.fas.harvard.edu. It may take up to two business days to access the exam once you’ve registered and the exam is open.
Non-FAS graduate students should email email@example.com to be registered to take the online exams. Please include which language exam you would like to take, your HUID #, and your Harvard email address in your email.
Students who plan to take a placement exam in another language may consult the language contacts and placement exam information at the bottom of the Exam Schedule page in advance of the upcoming summer or winter exams.
Upperclass students will see the result of a Harvard College Placement Exam (French, German, Italian, or Spanish) on their Test and Score Report in My.Harvard. Those taking an exam to fulfill the foreign language requirement should familiarize themselves with the Language Verification Exam (LVE) and the timeline.
Graduate Students, beginning on July 15th in order to receive the results of these exams must contact firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject line Graduate student DPT results no earlier than one day following completion of the exam.
